Their OHSAA Division V district semifinal against No. 8 seed Union Local on May 26, 2026, was a true test of grit and skill, culminating in a well-earned 4-1 victory that places them squarely in the district championship matchup.

Behind the remarkable performance of senior ace Dylan Blon, who pitched an impressive seven innings, the Shamrocks not only secured a win but did so with a blend of powerful offense and steadfast defense. "We were eager to take the field tonight and deliver a solid performance, and thankfully, we did just that," remarked Barnesville's head coach D.J. Butler. "But we also recognize areas where we can improve moving forward."
