As a member of the Jamestown High School tennis team, Elise has quickly become a central figure. Starting this season as the team's No. 1 singles player, she recorded a mix of successes and challenges, ending with a regular-season record of 2-7. Elise teamed up with her primary doubles partner, Mylee Michel, to achieve a respectable 4-4 record at the No. 1 doubles position.

"Once I heard that UJ was getting a women's tennis team, I knew that was where I wanted to go," she reflected.

Elise proudly represents her Jamestown roots. Her mother, Lori, is a teacher for Jamestown Public Schools, and her father, Aaron, serves on the School Board. This strong family foundation has influenced Elise, who expressed the importance of community in her journey.

"I mainly wanted to stay in Jamestown because I just love the community here," she shared. "Being able to go somewhere and see people I know gives me a sense of belonging."

As UJ's first local recruit under head coach Cameron Jackson, Elise brings not only her skills but also her passion for education and team spirit. She is keen to forge connections with her future teammates, who she describes as dedicated and sweet.

"It is very nice to know where I'm going to be next year, but it also adds pressure because of the high level of competition at the Division 2 level. It will take a lot of work to compete and maintain that level."
