On August 18, federal agents conducted searches at the premises of Kawal Preet Singh, a 50-year-old Indian national living illegally in the U.S., and his residence. What they found shocked even seasoned investigators: more than 40 pounds of methamphetamine, three firearms, and over $11,800 in cash.

"The employee involved in the reported incident had worked at this location for approximately one and a half months," said FAT Brands, the parent company of Round Table Pizza. "We are fully cooperating with authorities."

The Deception of Legitimacy

According to court documents, Singh allegedly operated the restaurant as a front for his drug activities, which included distribution and transportation of controlled substances. The business was described in an FBI affidavit as being used by Singh and others involved in long-haul trucking to transport narcotics across state lines.

This operation didn't just involve one individual. It's part of a broader network that connects illegal immigrants with drug cartels, highlighting how criminal enterprises adapt to exploit legitimate businesses for their operations.

A Larger Web of Crime

The investigation began with a tip about a suspect known as 'Camy,' who was allegedly a Sikh Indian man engaged in long-haul trucking.
