"I discovered my love for dance at a very young age, and it has always been more than a hobby; it is a way of life," she shares. From California to North Dakota

Julia's life took a significant turn when she moved to North Dakota with her husband, only to confront the stark reality of limited dance opportunities. "Those words were difficult to hear," Friez recalls. Her husband's observation about the scarcity of opportunities in the area spurred her into action. Refusing to let her passion be curtailed, she took the initiative to reach out to local schools, showcasing her commitment to fostering dance.

In 2020, she was invited to assist Jamestown High School's dance team, eventually stepping into the head coach role.
