NEW BOSTON HURON Softball: A Seventh-Inning Comeback

NEW BOSTON – The buzz around Huron's softball team was electric as they faced Flat Rock in a gripping clash. Coach Tedi Belisle's squad showcased tenacity, clawing back in the seventh inning to clinch a 4-3 victory.

With the game tied at 3-3, all eyes were on Madison Kuzara, who turned the tide with a stunning triple. Coach Belisle opted to let Kuzara swing away after assessing her confidence at the plate. Kuzara didn't disappoint, scoring the winning run on a hit from Addison Ramsby, proving that in sports, sometimes the best strategy is simply to trust your instincts.

Both Kuzara and Ramsby ended the game with two hits, with Kuzara earning the pitching win, proving to be a dual threat. Coach Belisle was ecstatic post-game, stating, “This should give them the confidence we have been looking for. TEMPERANCE – The Bedford softball team swept Ann Arbor Huron, achieving a staggering 15-0 victory not once, but twice! Kaitlyn Kwiatkowski was a standout, going an impressive 6-for-7, driving in five runs, and stealing seven bases. Sophia Steinman also shined with her perfect 4-for-4 outing, accompanied by a home run from Mya Smithson.

Airport Softball Resilience

CARLETON – Meanwhile, Airport displayed their power as Kennady Kroll and Brooklyn Martin each launched home runs to propel the team over St. Mary Catholic Central, ending the game 9-4. Martin proved her all-around gameplay by picking up the win on the mound as well.

No-Hitter for Moczydlowsky

MILAN – New Boston Huron's Cash Moczydlowsky dazzled the crowd with a no-hitter, leading his team to a decisive 7-0 win against Milan. Madding the stat sheet, Noah Banas went 3-for-4, showcasing his offensive prowess.

Freshman Stands Tall for SMCC

MONROE – St. Mary Catholic Central's freshman Grant Potcova displayed remarkable promise, driving in half the runs in their tight 8-5 victory over Grosse Ile. This adaptability and performance from younger players is the lifeblood of high school sports.
