Key Commitments

The highlight of Tennessee's recruiting efforts came on March 28, when they secured the commitment of four-star wide receiver Kesean Bowman. The Brentwood Academy star, who once pledged allegiance to Oregon, chose to stay close to home in Tennessee.

“Tennessee always feels like home,” said Bowman. “They have been recruiting me hard from the start. I have great relationships with Coach Heupel, Coach Pope, and basically the whole staff. I have been there a lot, and just being around those people makes it feel like home.”

Selecting Local Talent

The Volunteers' strategy of prioritizing local talent is already paying dividends. Bowman is one of four in-state commits who are joining the ranks, including Murfreesboro Siegel's four-star offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, who joined back in November and remains committed to the program. Similarly, the Vols welcomed two Peach State stars: four-star defensive lineman Kadin Fife and three-star quarterback Derrick Baker, who pledged to Tennessee just last month.
