It's Time to Celebrate Local Talent!

The Athlete of the Week poll for the Oshkosh and Fond du Lac areas has kicked off, and it's your chance to recognize the young athletes who lit up the courts this past week! Whether it's spectacular scoring, relentless defense, or clutch plays, these nominees showed us what high school sports are all about.

The poll runs until noon on Friday, January 23, and includes some electric performances in boys and girls basketball. Let's dive into the standout performances that earned our nominees a spot in this week's spotlight.

Meet the Nominees

Blake Bradley, Ripon Basketball

Blake dominated the court with an explosive 38 points, alongside 16 rebounds, showcasing a true all-around performance in a pivotal win against Nekoosa.

Cash Farrell, Laconia Basketball

Cash brought the heat with 21 points and backed it up with key defense, notching three rebounds and a pair of steals against St. Mary's Springs.

Parker Ingles, Winneconne Basketball

Parker poured in 30 points despite a loss to Seymour, illustrating his scoring ability and heart on the hardwood.

Carter Kufel, Oshkosh West Basketball

In a solid win over Appleton East, Carter contributed 18 points and 10 rebounds, proving to be a clutch player for his team.

Talan Meyer, Mayville Basketball

Even in a tight two-point defeat against Kiel, Talan was a force with 23 points, adding nine rebounds and six assists to his stat line.

Mya Moran, Valley Christian Basketball

Mya led her team with 28 points, showcasing her skill in an overtime thriller vs. Sheboygan South. Talk about rising to the occasion!

Finley Morgan, Laconia Basketball

With a staggering 34 points to his name, Finley also mixed in seven assists and solid defense, leading his squad to victory over Campbellsport.

Allison Now, North Fond du Lac Basketball

Allison turned heads with her remarkable triple-double performance: 19 points, 12 steals, and 10 rebounds, helping her team triumph against Mayville.

Jill Pinno, Winnebago Lutheran Basketball

In another impressive outing, Jill registered 20 points and contributed heavily on defense with 13 rebounds, making her presence felt in the game.

Hayden Redington, Berlin Basketball

Hayden put in a phenomenal effort with 26 points and an incredible 21 rebounds, making the paint his domain in the win over Wautoma.

Mario Romo, North Fond du Lac Basketball

Mario stepped up with 22 points and numerous key plays, even in a close loss to Lomira.

Taylor Schladweiler, Campbellsport Basketball

Taylor produced 22 points, demonstrating tenacity with nine steals that kept his team in the game against Omro.

Lakelyn Sobieski, Berlin Basketball

Despite a loss, Lakelyn shined with 20 points and solid defensive plays, putting on a show for the fans.

Kamryn Stauffacher, Oshkosh West Basketball

Kamryn played a key role, contributing 18 points to help secure victory against Oshkosh North.

Blake Steger, Lomira Basketball

Rounding out our nominees, Blake delivered 24 points and showed his reliability as a scoring threat throughout the game.
