Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, newsletters, applications, and any other products or services provided by Newsclip, Inc. (“Newsclip,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Services.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
- When you create an account or subscribe to newsletters, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law or a government request.
2. Permitted Use of Newsclip Content
- The journalism, images, graphics, audio, video, and other materials published by Newsclip are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may read, share, and link to our content for personal, non-commercial use as long as you do not modify the material or remove attribution.
- Any commercial use, republication, licensing, or syndication requires prior written consent. Please contact partnerships@newsclip.com for licensing inquiries.
- Trademarks, logos, and service marks displayed on the Services belong to Newsclip or third parties. Nothing in these Terms grants you permission to use them without prior consent.
3. Reader Contributions
- When you submit story tips, comments, multimedia, or other materials to Newsclip (collectively, “Reader Contributions”), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, and sublicensable license to use, publish, adapt, archive, and distribute the contributions in connection with our editorial work.
- You represent that you have the necessary rights to share the contributions and that they do not infringe the rights of any third party. Do not submit confidential or proprietary information unless you have permission to do so.
- We reserve the right to moderate, remove, or decline to publish Reader Contributions at our discretion.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent purposes.
- Distribute malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or interfere with the security or availability of the Services.
- Scrape, harvest, or collect information from the Services using automated means without our prior consent.
- Misrepresent your affiliation with Newsclip or imply that we endorse any political candidate, product, or service without express permission.
5. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may include links to third-party websites, newsletters, podcasts, databases, or tools. Those resources are provided for convenience and do not constitute an endorsement. Newsclip does not control third-party sites and is not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.
6. Paid Services and Donations
From time to time we may offer premium newsletters, memberships, events, or other paid products. Additional terms may apply and will be presented at the point of purchase. Unless otherwise noted, payments are non-refundable once delivered. If you believe a charge was processed in error, contact billing@newsclip.com within 30 days so we can review your request.
7. Disclaimers
- The Services provide journalistic content for informational purposes only. We do not provide investment, legal, medical, or other professional advice, and you should not rely on our reporting as a substitute for consultation with qualified advisors.
- Newsclip strives for accuracy and timeliness; however, we cannot guarantee that all content will be current or error-free. The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Newsclip and its directors, employees, contributors, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services. In jurisdictions where exclusions are not allowed, our aggregate liability will not exceed one hundred (100) U.S. dollars.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Newsclip, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your Reader Contributions, your violation of these Terms, or your misuse of the Services.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time with or without notice if we believe you have breached these Terms or to protect our community. Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect, including ownership rights, indemnities, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or related to the Services will be submitted to the state or federal courts located in Collin County, Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice through the Services or by email if you have an account with us. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
